Today our storytime yoga was to the book, Yoga on the Farm by Christaine Kerr & Lucy Menzies. We stretched like a goat (promotes calmness), snuggled down like a pig (restores mind & body connection), felt our heartbeat like a donkey (develops well-being & breath awareness). Our partnering mindfulness worksheet brings our yoga lesson and many other developmental benefits together. 

There are many benefits to cutting with scissors, including:

  • Independent movements of each finger
  • Strengthens hand muscles
  • Bilateral coordination skills (two-handed coordination)
